Ministries

Here are a few of the ways our community is supported. Let us know if you’d like to be a part of the joy that is service.

Backpack Program

In conjunction with 8 other local churches, Mt Zion participates in the Hudson Area Backpack Program. Once a month we provide basic food to families of E.P. Rock Grade School.

Mt. Zion partners with other local churches and the Hudson School District to provide a backpack of food items each Friday throughout the school year to ensure families have enough food to feed their children over the weekend when they don’t have access to school food programs.

Mt. Zion fills bags once a month for the Youth at E.P. Rock School.

Grace Place

Welcome to Grace Place where our mission is:
To provide safe, temporary shelter to homeless individuals and families without discrimination, while giving guidance to promote independence.

Habitat for Humanity

Mt. Zion organizes a mission trip each year to help build homes for Habitat for Humanity.

A great opportunity for 14 yr. – 94 yr. olds!

Hudson Food Cupboard

The Hudson Food Cupboard knows that a little change can make a difference. Since their beginning in 1983 they have given food to those that need food for their family.

During the month of November, members and friends of Mt. Zion staff and serve the clients in need of the food cupboard. If you are interested in helping, please contact the church office.

If you are in need, please call (715) 338-0332 to make an appointment

Local Hunger Relief

In addition to the Hudson Food Shelf, Grace Place and the Backpack program, Mt Zion also participates in these local efforts to prevent hunger:

FREE FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Partnering with Cornerstone Church, Mt Zion distributes produce and bakery goods every other Friday in our Commons area beginning at 9:00 am.

FREE LITTLE PANTRY

At the East Enterance of Mt. Zion you will find our Free Little Pantry. From Spring until Fall you will find food and snacks for anyone that has a need. Please take what you need. If you need something that is not in the pantry, please stop in and let us know so we can restock!

Luther Point

Luther Point Bible Camp offers amazing programs for all ages:youth, junior high, senior high, outpost adventures, family adventures, even horse camp!

“Worship and Bible study give opportunities for campers to experience their relationship with God in new and unique ways”. Check it out!

Lutheran World Relief

Each year our quilters work for hours creating beautiful quilts for Lutheran World Relief. These bring love and warmth from Mt Zion around the world.

Haiti Second Mile

Second Mile Ministries in Haiti is a faith-based not for profit organization that provides healthcare to some of Haiti’s most fragile children while empowering their mothers through eduction, training and small business opportunities. It allows mothers to stay with their children while they are receiving medical assistance.

Mt Zion’s congregation has made a major commitment to provide financial assistance to this worthwhile project.
